Pokemon

"Mom, will you play Pokemon with me?"

.....Sometimes I think I would rather be playing Monopoly, its super long, but at least I know what the rules are and have a fighting chance of winning!

I designed this camp for my Middle son, Andrew. Andrew is a big fan of Pokemon, its fire, water, earth, electric elements. Pokemon has so many creatures that morph into other creatures or have characteristics of good vs evil. There is math involved, science, complicated vocabulary and when you piece all of this stuff together and abstractly relate it to the real world, I think "Wow my son is super brilliant! Pokemon has really held his interest and inspired some concepts that could be helpful in his academic career!"

In this camp students will:

Create a pokemon gameboard and learn the real rules to pokemon (which I have happen to have found)

Students will Draw pokemon figures...even though I only like the "cute" ones (which I have come to learn are the weakest one) students will have the opportunity to draw the ones they like.

Students will create pokemon figures out of clay.
